C3: Marketing Communications that Work

Creative, Yet Practical

leslie silverman ct marketing internet marketing firm website designWe bring a strong sense of curiosity to our work, and creative ideas are always naturally flowing. Connecting people to great services, interesting products, and complementary partnerships is what makes us tick. While we’re known for creativity, that doesn’t mean we’re impractical. Far from it. We offer strategic thinking, lots and lots of ideas, and only the most practical solutions to build your business.

Wordplay at Work

C3 was founded by Leslie Egnuss Silverman in 1998. Her background in providing corporate identity, marketing and communications services to clients began with her love of copywriting. She always began her writing by envisioning her reader and how they would react to what she wrote. Her writing, which she considered just a building block for other skills, was often complimented. Over time she began to realize that she loved to do something that many others considered a difficult chore – which is kind of how she feels about math! Leslie’s father wisely counseled that if you do what you love, work feels like play. Now, she loves to work with the written word; or is it playing? It’s a joy for her – unlike math, which is more like torture.

The Resume

Leslie’s writing has been published in Energy Risk Magazine, CT Business Magazine (topics: Succession Planning, Stem Cell Research, Emergency Health Care Delivery, and Executive Education and Compensation), Practical Horseman magazine (circ. over 15,000), and will appear in Spring 2010 in MORE Magazine (circ. 1.3 million).

Leslie has provided both national and international marketing communications services, and served as Marketing Manager for Arthur Andersen’s Derivatives and Treasury Risk Management consulting group (clients in energy, manufacturing, and financial services industries). In that position, she delivered strategic marketing counsel, coached sales teams and produced winning proposal materials. Leslie also directed an outside design firm in reengineering the corporate identity of the consulting group, consistent with overall corporate branding. She then leveraged the new identity into all marketing collateral: client presentations, advertising, brochures, and proposals for new business.

Prior to joining Arthur Andersen, Leslie directed North American marketing initiatives for a UK-based financial consultancy specializing in credit risk assessment for commodities trading and international shipping firms. Leslie was instrumental in increasing the firm’s volume of sales and product mix to existing customers, in some cases by more than 50%. She helped the firm expand consulting business significantly in the international oil trading industry by conceiving of and launching a unique seminar program on credit risk in derivatives trading.

Now Leslie brings mid-sized and smaller companies her marketing experience, with a focus on digital marketing venues, search engine-friendly copywriting, and user-friendly website design.
